Sunday Walk - South Woodham Ferrers, Hyde Hall & East Hanningfield

We will go from South Woodham Ferrers up to Radar Hill and past the Radar test site, located for its command over the local area with views over the town and the Crouch river. Then up and past the RHS centre at Hyde hall, we won't delay there but you will get to see its location. Then on to the little village of East Hanningfield before coming back a slightly different route. This walk takes in a number of rolling hills, fields with some nice views. Please bring a packed lunch.
12 miles.

Yes I am gutted I never made it. I don't mind the mud. The week before was very muddy and it was fun. Pub sounds good too. Look forward to the next one.

Sorry I did not join this walk yesterday. I got there but could not find the front if the station but then it did start raining hard so I came home as didn't feel 100% so didn't want to get worse. Sounds like it was a good walk.

Shame you didn't make it, it was wet and muddy but I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Most people came to the pub afterwards which I always thing is the sign of a good walk everyone enjoyed

Phew Annie, so glad it's not only me!! Could hardly move last night! Must equate to a weeks worth of gym workouts put together? Good fun though and look forward to the next muddy field! x

Hi Guys, for the walk at South Woodham Ferrers this Sunday I will set off as soon as the Wickford train comes in at 11:14. We will set off promptly then as we have 12 miles to do before it gets dark. I will watch the time and route and if we need to will have cut slightly short to get us back before it gets dark.
