Strawberry Peak (6,164') is the tallest mountain in the front range of the San Gabriels. Located at Red Box and Angeles Crest Highway.
Join the Forest Committee’s San Gabriels Trails Crew to help restore this historic trail damaged by the 2009 Station Fire and subsequent erosion. This area is closed to the public until the trails are rebuilt. As a volunteer you will see first-hand the cycle of fire and recovery. There are small, medium and large sized jobs, something for all. One-half mile of trail rebuilding until we reach the summit, but it's the hardest section.
Tools and instructions provided.
Boots, long-sleeved shirts, long pants mandatory.
