Torrey Pines/La Jolla Beach Walk

Torrey Pines State Beach is in La Jolla.

We'll meet at the trail head then walk the mile trail down to the beach for a 10 mile 'round trip walk in the sand.

We'll walk about 5 miles to The Mushroom House and stop for a short break; then return to the trail by the same route through the sand.

Depending on the tide, it would be best to walk down by the water on the wet sand.

Wear some shoes you won't mind getting wet & full of sand.

Bring a couple bottles of water & something to chew on (Do not chew on your nails or anyone else's for that matter)...

Allow for about 3 hours 'n change as the crow flies...

Hwy 5 north or south: exit Genesee Ave and turn west toward the water.

Genesee will turn into N Torrey Pines Road.

The Torrey Pines Golf Course is up ahead, about a mile from the hwy, on the left. There is parking at the golf course and surrounding side streets...

Park and walk north, just above the golf course, to the side road on the left, which is Torrey Pines Park Road.

We will meet at the "Broken Hill South" sign at 7:45 am and start at 8:00 am on the snout.

There are no facilities at the trailhead, adjustments should be made prior to arrival.

Dogs are not allowed on this area of the sand. There are signs posted.

Do NOT bring your dogs, cats, canaries, drama, +1’s or other pets.

No +1's or extra guests. If you want to bring a friend, local or long distance, just have them join the club.

This is an "at your own risk" event on lands accessible to the general public.
