This is an awesome desert hike that begins in the La Quinta Cove and ends at the Sawmill Trailhead in Pinyon Flats. The distance one way is approximately 15.5 miles. There is approximate 5,000 plus feet elevation gain. This trail takes about 8 hours at a comfortable pace. The Guadalupe Trail is a cross- country route following an old Indian path through the heart of the Santa Rosa Mountains from the desert to the pines. This is a strenuous hike.
Bring at least 3 liters of water, food, pliers and a comb (for Chollas) and clothing for cooler and unpredictable weather, plus the regular hiking essentials.
We will be meeting at my house in La Quinta, which is 2 blocks from the trail-head.

Please remember that if you are not capable to do this event or you don’t know your limits and still sign up, you may not only put yourself in danger but all the other participants who are going with you. You further agree to pay for any medical or legal cost involved in case of an injury to yourself, and request your heirs to respect your agreed waiver in case of a death due to any reason, by signing up for this event.
This is a car shuttle hike and I will be providing transportation. I can only carry 8 people so the hike is closed to RSVP's. Please sign up on the waiting list and I'll add as many people as I can onto the hike.
