Hi. Every summer I try to visit Polish mountains, thought you may find it interesting to join :) Couple of words about Tatras: Tatras is the highest mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains and the highest mountains in Poland with the highest point at 2,499 m (8200 ft). The mountains are a part of Tatra National Park, which entered in UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves. We will spend 5 days in the mountains, hiking 4 days depending on weather conditions. All hikes will be fairly strong, between 20-30km and[masked]m incline, partially we will be doing rocky climbing supported by metal chains permanently installed in the mountains. Please keep it in mind, since we will be climbing high and will not suit everyone. To give a flavor what I would like to do please look at the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJPeA0JtDEc The pics I am planning to do: 1. Kasprowy Wierch 1978m 2. Przelecz Szpiglasowa - 2172m 3. Zawrat 2158m 4. Kopa Konracka 2004m 5. Krzyzne 2112m We will stay in Zakopane (will accommodation) which is located on the edge of Tatras and will commute by buss to National Park every day. Zakopane is a touristic town with plenty possibilities to have great food, do some shopping of local products, or chill out in hot springs. Weather conditions: In July we can expect high 20s and full sun so factor 50+ will be essential. But please keep in mind that these mountains are unpredictable and we can get caught by 0 degree and snow. Timelines: 6th of July – travel to Zakopane, arrival at 2am in the Sat/Sun night 7th – 12th of July – hiking in Zakopane 12th of July – travel to Cracow (one night in Cracow) 13th of July – back to Dublin, arrival time 11pm Estimated costs incl. flights, accommodation, transport and basic food: €700 per person.
