This meet up is all about showing you the best that the Netherlands has to offer when it comes to nature and wild life. We either hike, kayak or take a boat trip to explore this country.
How about a visit to the European bisons? These impressive animals can be about 3 meters in length and weigh a 1,000 kilo and recently have been re-introduced into Dutch nature - in a great hiking area, the Kennemerduinen.
Or a heavy low tide hike over the ocean floor near one of the northern Islands, like Ameland or Texel, which also has one of the largest spoonbill colonies in the Netherlands.
We will explore the most beautiful spots in this country, and you will visit parts that the average Dutch person has never even heard of.
The highest 'mountain' of this country? No, not located in Limburg....
Visiting an uninhibited UNESCO world heritage island? Yes, we will!
Is it possible to watch whales in the Netherlands? Oh, yes. In 2015, we encountered a group of approximately 12 (little) whales during a boat trip, an incredible experience, and this trip will be repeated again in 2017.
As for the group, I want to create a cozy community where people feel easily at home, see each other regularly, experience special things and have lots of fun together.
Each event has a maximum of 16 members so people can easily get to know each other and hike or kayak together in a pleasant pace. After or during the event we have lunch or dinner in a nice restaurant.
There are spots open for people who love to be in nature and share my passion for wildlife and sustainability.
