What we're about
This group is for those who love nature and want to learn more about our fascinating forests and parks. Interpretive walks and programs will be led by Goodwin Conservation Center trained Master Naturalists all over CT.
The idea is to get some exercise, breathe the fresh air, meet some new friends, and learn about what we discover along the way.
Participation in these events will benefit all of our forests and parks by building a community of environmental stewards.
The Goodwin Conservation Master Naturalists are students who have a love of nature and wish to pass on their information to you while getting back outdoors. They undergo two courses at Goodwin Conservation Center and are trained in a myriad of subjects from insects and animals to geology and the forest while leading hikes and passing on their knowledge to you. If interested in more details on how to be a Goodwin Conservation Master Naturalist, please check the website below, or our other meetup pages, or contact email@example.com
Walks are free and open to anyone. Hikes will be of varying lengths and difficulty, so read the description of each hike before signing up. The leader of each event will provide a description of the hike, the location, what you need to wear and what to bring with you.
