The closest address to the Manor Area visitor's Center is 13102 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Thurmont, MD.
From the Baltimore area: Follow I-70 West to Frederick, and then take U.S. Route 15 North towards Thurmont. After Angleberger Road, which is approximately 10 miles up Rt. 15 North, begin to look for brown signs for Cunningham Falls State Park/ Manor Area. Take a left hand turn across Rt. 15 South into the Manor Area. If you come to an exit for Thurmont you have gone past the Manor area.
This originally was the Catoctin hike but that is a federal park and closed at the moment.
SINCE SOME OF US ARE ON FURLOUGH WHY NOT ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS?
We will hike FROM the Manor area taking B. Hill to Cat Rock/Bob's Hill up to the Old Misery Trail. This will be an out and back and we will roll with a 2.5 to 3 mph pace so please be prepared.

The Cunningham Falls State Park trail system varies in terrain from short, flat hikes to steep and rocky ascents that will challenge even the experienced hiker. Trail distances vary from .5 mile to 7.5 miles.
