We hiked part of the Trail several weeks ago. We're going to complete the hike this week. We will go in the opposite direction on the trail and finish up near where we ended several weeks earlier. I'll also inquire if a brief tour of the Grange Estate is possible.
The Haverford Heritage Trail takes us past 35 historic places in Haverford. Included are Haverford College, The Grange Estate, Darby Creek, Millbrook Farm, Nitre Hall, The Glen, and many other estates and interesting places.
It's always challenging to stay on the trail because the markers were placed in very interesting places many years ago. Some are on walls, some on street signs, some on fences or lawns. You are never sure which way to look, but there are lots of cool areas along this hike.
Caution:You should be able to walk 3-4 hours without much of a break. You should have recently hiked 8 miles in conditions detailed above.
