This hike is 4 miles to the summit with an elevation gain of 3,900 ft. Total mileage for this hike: Approx. 8 miles. Although it is posted as intermediate because we will be going at a Medium pace, this is a STRENUOUS hike!

We will start at Manker Flats heading up Via the Ski Hut Trail to the Summit, We will come down Via the Devils Backbone to the Ski Lift and take the lift back to Manker Flats... One way lift ticket is $10. You have the option to hike from the Ski lift down to Manker Flats about 3 miles.

I prefer to Do this hike with people I have hiked with before or if YOU are a experienced Hiker and Know the route...Sign up on Waiting list and you will be added...*Mt. Baldy Peak stands at 10,064 feet in elevation above sea level. You need to be aware of Acute Mountain Sickness... You will be expected to Keep up with Group, No SWEEPER on this Hike.

Time: 8:00 AM - Plan on arriving 15 min early if you have not been here before or want to Snack and Hydrate before the Hike

Directions: If you are coming from Orange County or the Long Beach area take the 210 East and exit at Baseline Road. Turn left on Baseline and right at Padua Avenue. In 1.7 miles turn right onto Mt Baldy Rd. Continue on Mt Baldy Rd. for about 10 miles to Falls Rd. just past the Manker Flats campgrounds.

*AN ADVENTURE PASS IS REQUIRED TO PARK YOUR CAR IN THE MANKER FLAT AREA! You can purchase an annual pass (for $30.00) or a one-day pass (for $5.00) at most stores like REI, Sports Chalet, Sportmart, Big 5, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Sports Authority. You may also purchase a pass at the Ranger Station (if they are open) in the town of Mt. Baldy.

Bring: At Least 3 Liters of Water, Snack or Lunch to enjoy at Summit, hat, sunglasses, Trekking poles, Layered Clothing and a Good Positive Attitude!!!
