DESCRIPTION: Chino Hills State Park is unique in that it provides refuge for both biodiversity and solitude to the visitors who enjoy their outdoor experiences. There is no other location in the LA Basin were people can drive a short distance and be swept away with scenic vistas, hike, bike or ride a horse on over 65 miles of trails. At 14,102 acres the park is managed as an open space habitat where all plant and animal life are protected.

We will head west on South Ridge climbing up a steep hill then travel along the ridge then go down Deimer Trail to Telegraph Canyon. Continuing west on Telegraph, we will head towards Carbon Canyon/North Ridge Trailhead. Switching back, we will stay on Telegraph, up Easy Street and out.
DISTANCE & ELEVATION GAIN: 8+ miles with a 500+ft. gain; completed in about 2.5 to 3+ hours.
NECESSITIES: Adequate water (1 to 3 liters), hat, sunscreen, snack, layered clothing to adjust to climate change. Trekking Poles optional.
FACILITIES: No water or facilities are located at the trailhead. Urinating in public is punishable by a fine under California Penal Code section 640. First conviction not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250).
DIRECTIONS, PARKING & FEES: Create a printable map with directions from your starting point by clicking on the map above - or follow directions below. If you arrive early know there are signs that say parking is not allowed between 7pm and 8am.
Take the Imperial Highway exit from the 91 freeway.
· If coming from Corona side of 91: Turn RIGHT onto CA-90 Imperial Hwy.
· If coming from Anaheim side of 91: Turn LEFT onto CA-90 Imperial Hwy.
After 1.6 miles: Take the Kellogg Drive ramp and turn RIGHT.
After 1.1 miles: Turn RIGHT onto YORBA LINDA BLVD.
Immediately get in left lane to turn LEFT at next light onto FAIRMONT BLVD.
After 1.6 miles: turn LEFT onto RIM CREST DR.
Go about not quite a half a mile to the end of RIM CREST DR where it stops at Blue Gum Dr on the left and park on the right. The park entrance is right there beyond the fence.
For GPS you can try putting in: 3615 Blue Gum Dr.
Please contact me if you have any difficulties. Keep in mind this is a residential neighborhood; let's be mindful of the residents living there. There is no entrance or parking fees at this location of the park.
