This is a great hike this time of year. As it is on the north side of the lake, snow won't be a problem...
ABOUT THE HIKE: In the first mile there is only a gentle uphill increase, however in mile two, the trail gets steeper and rocky in places. The trail, situated on the south side of the mountain is a lot drier than the lush Siberia Creek Trail, however the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains make it well worth the hike.
DISTANCE: The hike is about 4-7 miles starting at 7000 ft and going up to Bertha Peak at around 8100 ft...
NOTES: Please make sure you have water, a hat, sunblock, and a snack. Mountain weather is changeable, so bring clothing layers to wear.
