We are queer friendly backpackers! We embrace diversity and celebrate our differences. All orientations, straight and gay, are welcome as well as all genders. Our meetups are focused on building quality friendships rather than a race to the top. We enjoy each others' company on the trail and recoup at the pub after a great trip. Our adventures, typically 1-3 nights, include spring, summer and winter trips in the Rocky Mountains. All skill levels are welcome! We are here to enjoy what the natural world has to offer while making new friendships and connections.
Keep the following in mind:
Accidents and emergencies happen; there is never a guarantee of prompt medical attention in the backcountry, and while we would certainly do everything in our power to help, ultimately the sole and total responsibility for your safety rests with you.
Backpackers: know your limits and be sure you're capable of doing the hike, accept full responsibility for your health and safety, map, gear, clothing, water, food, and transportation to the trailhead
Organizer: post event, describe event, keeps the emergency contact list, keeps the members in the loop about what's going on, attends the trip, follows all backpacker responsibilities listed above, is not liable for issues that might occur during our meetup events
