Lets get together and run, motivate and inspire one another to become a better person and athlete. We will be running trails and speed work around the track. This is a great way to train for your next 10K, half, full, ultra marathon! Whether your race is on trail or road!
You can help me keep this group going by hosting runs or race events.
Planning on a 4ish mile loop up to Wildwood, down Springville then back on Leif, then out for a North Nasty. Then post-Run its off to Lucky Lab on NW Quimby for pizza, beverages of your choice, and discuss planning a possible 20 miler in the Gorge between Carson and Stevenson on May 11th which, coincidentally enough, will also include a post-run watering hole (Backwoods Brewing). I’m not saying it’s all about the beer. But I’m also not saying it’s not.
24th running of this event. 6,800 feet of elevation gain so this is one tough nut. Registration does not increase until March 31st but field is limited to 300. Territory Run shirt and 22 oz bottle of Mac beer included!
This is a tentative date and location for this annual event. ORRC will finalize and open registration in a couple of weeks. Entry is $15/person if ORRC member or $25/person if non-member. There is a timed mile before the main event, a 20 lap (5 mile) team for each 2 person team. You alternate with your partner every other lap. It’s like WWF tag team wrestling without the crazy costumes and you run ass off instead of groping your opponents! Age brackets are based on the combined age of your team so being older is an advantage! Great fun and ORRC gives away free swag. I’ll post comments as details develop.
Well that Go Beyond race credit was burning a hole in my pocket, but not anymore! 50k with about 4,000 ft gain/loss, should be a good training run for SOB. There are still spots available.
See you on the trail!
