Our next tour features this Chinese scientist Xu Guangqi who lived about 500 years ago and explains how his friendship with his Italian teacher Matteo Ricci shaped the birth of geometry, astrology, calendar making, among others, in China. We will also see traces of the Jesuit heritage in Xu-jia-hui area, especially the T'ou-Sè-Wè Museum.
We will meet outside exit 1 of Xu-jia-hui metro station on line 1/9/11 at 10am. The tour ends near the same metro station.
I charge RMB 40 per person for the tour. We will settle the payment at the end of the tour.
