Do you like spicy foods? Do you like a little bit of heat, but find most hot sauces have too much--or maybe not enough? Have you ever thought about making your own hot sauce?
Join Hive13 for the second event in our Summer Social series and learn about what makes a hot sauce and how to create one to your specific tastes.
We will cover the general stuff like the range of hot sauces, from Hawaiian pepper water to million-scoville face melters. We’ll also talk about the basics of what goes into a sauce, including the merits of fruits and spices and whether to ferment your peppers or not. After sampling some of our own homemade sauces, we’ll lead you through making 2 different hot sauces for you to take home.
At the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with the information and confidence to try experimenting on your own.
