  • North West Bay River and Longley Sunday Sesh

    Needs a location

Note that this is a double event with bushwalking group and Scotty Wellman is the organizer for that group and the number below is his. North West Bay River and Longley Sunday Sesh New members WeLcOmE :-) This is a nice 40 minute return walk (plus time at river) that leaves from the Sandlfly oval. The river is really nice with some cool rock cliffs that are used for rock climbing. Details of walk attached. We will leave the oval at 2pm to begin the walk. The signs say no dogs although the locals take theirs down there all the time apparently. I will leave that to you’re discretion. After the walk let’s go to the Longley international hotel for a drink, or to just socialise and listen to the music. It’s a great place to chill with the outdoor beer garden and massive fire pots you won’t get cold here :-) As there are cost related to running the ‘Meetup’ site a gold coin donation would be much appreciated. If you just want to come on the walk that’s fine too. Can’t find us or any questions please call me on[masked] Cheers Scotty https://m.facebook.com/longleyinternational/ https://www.kingborough.tas.gov.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/20-North-West-Bay-River-Track.pdf

  • Dark Path - Dark Mofo

    Royal Hobart Regatta

And when you’re out in the woods, be nice and good and don’t stray from the path. Something is happening on the outskirts of the city. The even is from 5 to 10 pm but we will get together around 7 and might check out the winter Feast prior to that. Free, unless stated otherwise Be warned: Dark Path involves a lot of walking—roughly 4km from start to finish, and takes around 60 minutes (not including time to experience the artworks and events). The route is dark, covers uneven terrain, and some parts are not accessible by wheelchair; if you have mobility requirements, contact [masked] in advance to discuss alternative access options. location description: Regatta Grounds + Queens Domain + Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens Access via Regatta Grounds (road closures in place around the Domain and Gardens)

Enjoy a series of quick conversations with a chance to make new friends. You will be paired up with someone for a couple of minutes to chat before being mixed up with someone else. This event is about having a chance to meet new people (male or female, single or not), perhaps make a new buddy to hang out with and share your hobbies and interests e.g. find a tennis partner, a movie buff, a bushwalker, a drinking buddy etc. It is pretty casual and is generally good fun. Please bring a gold coin to cover the cost of the meetup.
