What we're about
We're building in-person connections among the homeschoolers of Laurel, Maryland.
Currently our relaxed, welcoming group meets up at a Laurel library and/or playground one morning per week.
Starting in September, we'll also be holding a low-key afternoon meetup the last Thursday of every month.
Then starting in October, we'll also be resuming our monthly local field trips the second Friday of the month. Last school year we visited the fire station, went on a nature walk by the river, had a hands-on tour of Montpelier Mansion, took a gymnastics class, and more! We are really getting to know our town!
We all agree that we would love to meet more of our homeschooling neighbors. If that's you, please join us!
We are not intending to replace tutorials, county-wide co-ops, or groups that travel around doing exciting things. We encourage homeschoolers to continue to engage with these groups to explore deeper learning and greater Maryland!
Our group's role is different: to invest in a strong, inclusive, and local homeschool support network in Laurel. We do this with fun, real-world get-togethers.
Looking forward to meeting you!
