• What we'll do
You are invited on Thursday June 28th, 2018 at 7:00 PM to the Masonic Philosophical Society for our next hosted discussion and study. Each month a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed and debated. This group, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.
June's topic will be conducted by Brother Kale on a study of Freemasonry: Can and Should We Separate Jesus from Christianity? After a short lecture, a discussion and debate by the group will follow.
Christianity is a religion of which many are acquainted. Its long reach has influenced the morals and ethics of Western society, shaped governments, directed Western education, and even has restricted the way people marry, have sex, and enjoy life. It isn’t a surprise that many who seek Truth come to clash with the forces of Christianity. They resent the dogma and tyranny of which the various manifestations of Christianity have brought upon the world. From the inquisition and crusades, to the persecution of science and philosophy, many followers of Christ have set it upon themselves to mold a world in the image of their God and Savior: Jesus Christ. There is no way to undo or forget two thousand years of rape, pillage, and murder of millions of “non-believers”, especially when one is subjected to their battle cry: “...love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment, where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and to share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
