There are places in Hong Kong that have official pedigree. Temples and Monasteries that are maintained by the Chinese Temples Committee or other well established organizations. Some, however, are simply created and maintained by sheer devotion. A single person, or small group of people who are driven to create a place of spirituality.

The Buddhas of Waterfall Bay Park is one such location. Created over many years and made of cast away statues this shrine is an amazing example of how beautiful folk religion can be. Made up a over a 1,000 statues, the shrine is tended with loving care by people from the famous Wah Fu Estate community adjacent to the park. Come down and check out this wonderful example of folk religion right here in Hong Kong. We'll be spending about 45 minutes looking at the shrine and then we'll be present for a spectacular Sunset! A great way to spend the remaining days of 2015...
