Active Insight Meditation (AIM) is a spontaneous and direct contact with the Source of the Universe--however you conceive it. Some call it Tao, Spirit, Allah, God, Theos, Order, Holy Spirit... But do names really matter? This direct contact is experienced differently by each person–theists, agnostics, or atheists. Sometimes it’s called by its original name “Latihan Kejiwaan” which means “Spiritual Exercise.” There is no financial cost to participate.

In one sense it’s the simplest spiritual exercise or meditation. The Latihan happens to a person by them standing quietly and temporarily letting go of thoughts and the rational mind, current cares and worries, and surrendering to Tao, God, Holy Spirit, Universe. When you do this with others who are experiencing the Latihan, you find that it begins to manifest in your body. This is a felt, bodily experience.

The Latihan puts you in touch with your intuitive sense of the universe and guidance for your life. It's an uncovering or unblocking, and a return to your original human state. The meditation is done once or twice a week for 20 to 30 minutes each time. It provides total catharsis or total relaxation--whatever you need at the time. It's recommended that people attend twice per week for the first few weeks to "jump start" the energy flowing through the body. See the website for more info:
