What we're about

Are you interested in walking in forested parks around Ann Arbor? Did you know that it is more beneficial than urban walking? We are women who walk weekly for 45-60 minutes at a moderate pace. We began by walking in Dolph Nature Area and adjoining Lakewood Nature Area. We have explored other parks such as Saginaw Forest, Bird Hills and Scio Woods Preserve. Trails are generally not paved.
Each time we gather, we share a bit about a different local conservation success story. This is not recruiting, but is meant to inspire hope and connection. This has been shown to be particularly important for women.

We will hike in rain or snow. We will not hike in thunderstorms or when driving or walking conditions are expected to be dangerous (school closing days). No dogs please.

To cover the monthly Meetup administration cost, please bring $1 to each hike. Thank you.

This group welcomes all those who identify as female.
