What we're about

Love scary movies but hate watching them alone? Frustrated that you can't convince a single friend to see the newest horror movie? This is definitely the group for you. We love scary movies, and run out to see them as soon as they come out. We plan to meet briefly before the film to chat about what we hope to expect, and share our thoughts together after. We also keep an eye out for other events, like free early screenings, related museum exhibits, and horror film festivals in the area. So whether you prefer zombies, slashers, spirits, or monsters, come join us as we take in all the fun things that go bump in the night.

Viewing of "Annabelle Comes Home"

Century Cinemas 16 Theaters [Mountain View]

Although I can't claim any of the films in the Annabelle series have bested The Conjuring, they've certainly done better than the original film's sequels, so let's see what this next one has to offer in our latest and greatest horror universe. This time we are checking out a Saturday night viewing at our fav spot in Mountain View for a 7:00 pm show, so let's meet at 6:30 pm in the couches in the lobby. Stay tuned for seating info. Synopsis: Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren lock the possessed doll in the artifacts room in their house. But when the doll awakens the room's evil spirits, it soon becomes an unholy night of terror for the couple's 10-year-old daughter, her friends and their young baby sitter. Viewing of "Midsommar"

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

Midsommar is set in Sweden, shares the same director as Hereditary, and focuses on festivals, cults, and weirdness--in other words, I'm there! Thought it would be fun and quite appropriate to visit Alamo Drafthouse in SF for this very artsy horror film. It looks twisted, gory, and super fun. Now let's order some dinner! :) I'm seated in the back, Row 4, Seat 15. This one will likely sell out so be sure to buy your tickets while they're hot. The showing is at 7:30pm, but let's meet in the theater at our seats at 7pm, so we can start ordering drinks and food. Hope to see you there! Check out the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vnghdsjmd0 Synopsis: A couple travel to Sweden to visit their friend's rural hometown for its fabled midsummer festival, but what begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

Viewing of "Crawl"

Century Cinemas 16 Theaters [Mountain View]

It's yet to be determined whether Crawl will be more like Lake Placid, Deep Blue Sea, or heck, even Sharknado! But based on the trailer and a few big names in horror film production, dare I say this one could have some potential? Let's check out a preview night showing in Mountain View--Stay tuned for updates on showtimes and seating info. Synopsis: When a massive hurricane hits her Florida town, young Haley ignores the evacuation orders to search for her missing father, Dave. After finding him gravely injured in their family home, the two of them become trapped by the rapidly encroaching floodwaters. With the storm strengthening, Haley and Dave discover an even greater threat than the rising water level -- a relentless attack from a pack of gigantic alligators.
