Dickens on the Strand 2016 - Galveston

A 3-day festival featuring food, art, crafts, and social activities from the mid-19th Century. While some costumed fair-goers concentrate on historical accuracy from the period[masked] (Dickens's lifespan), most costumers consider anything from The Victorian Era appropriate. All levels of costuming are welcome. Pirate costumes and Steampunk costumes are common. Costumes need not be tied to the UK or the US as long as they are at least somewhat linked to the appropriate time period. Costumes are often available for rental.

The exact schedule of events should be announced soon.

Photos from previous years can be found on our site and all over the Internet.

The Strand area of Galvestion is filled with 19th  century buildings which make wonderful backdrops and settings for photographing costumes.
