Jonathan Coulton, Geek Troubadour

Besides being resident musician at NPR's "Ask Me Another", Jonathan Coulton has been Contributing Troubadour to Popular Science and generally awesome at channeling the angst of being a mad scientist, mutant, or other kind of monster.

If you don't know JoCo's music already, visit his website and listen to some of his tunes on the downloads page (you can play without buying). I particularly recommend "Code Monkey", "Re: Your Brains", "Chiron Beta Prime" (nothing like Christmas in exile), and the more recent "Redshirt" (inspired by John Scalzi's novel about oddly disposable junior officers on a starship).

Tickets page for the gig.

Clayton, thanks for posting photos! Several of us were further back, but I don't have a smart phone and so didn't see your post until now. It was fun though, eh?

He'll probably be playing more music from his new and only slightly less geeky album, "Artificial Heart". Here's a song from that, "Nemeses": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX2eEICejB0

Great event idea, Pau! I'm a budding musician, myself. I really liked the tunes I listened to so far. I have a couple of pre-concert dinner ideas, if anyone is interested.
