Houston Ruby / Ruby on Rails Monthly Meetup

Main Course

We're going to look at http://exercism.io/ -- for about 35-45 minutes, people will pair together in 2 and submit the Ruby example.

Then, we'll look at some of the submitted examples in a group and see what we like --- this dojo style is always fun and illuminating!

Thanks for the suggestion @codeodor (Sammy)!!

And, if the Ruby goes fast, there's Clojure, Exilir, and JavaScript examples to try!

Disclaimer: This is a solution for the second level of exercism.io's ruby, so if you don't want to see, dont look.

But YES! I think i came up with a pretty nice solution: https://gist.github.co...

Hey guys, I had a good time tonight at the meetup, will definitely be back. Been working on improving the Bob.rb and this is what I currently have. Pretty cool implementation of meta programming to simplify getting responses for different types of people

Also using Ruby 2.0's new refine method to scope the "monkey patching" of the string class as to only have those functions where I need them I suppose, lol

I have very little programming/Ruby experience, should I sit this one out?

I enjoyed the partnering with others. I am learning Ruby from a different perspective outside of Eclipse.
