Hello Writers!

We had a great turnout at the March meeting, and a lively discussion about Point of View and narrative styles in fiction.  We'll be continuing some of that conversation next time, so I encourage you to ask questions or offer examples to be discussed in April!

Major Announcements:

This year's World Science Fiction Convention will be in San Antonio, August 29-September 2. Details at­.   There's still time to get your membership or supporting membership, which allows you to vote on the Hugo Awards.

Upcoming local events:

Houston Indie Books Festival will be April 20 at Menil Park in the Montrose.­

Comicpalooza 2013, May 24-26, is planning an expanded Literary Track.  Details on that and all the other wacky comic and media events at­

Member Announcements:

Dina has a couple of comp tickets available for Upstage Theater's "Moon over Buffalo" at Lambert Hall in the Heights. First two people to email her at­ can sign up for a free admission. Everybody else can check out their regular admission prices on their website.

Hey! I totally spaced on this last night when the call for announcements went out, but if we have any fans of Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, they'll be in town next week for the Hellhole release tour.­
