In celebration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, David Bintley is creating a fantastical production of The Tempest, set to a commissioned score by British composer Sally Beamish. At once stormy and sweet, Bintley’s Tempest promises to be an exciting recount of Shakespeare’s supernatural tale. Banished to a deserted island with his daughter, Miranda, Prospero conjures up a horrific storm in which a magical story unfolds. It’s an enchanted yarn filled with drama, passion, a struggle for power and, of course, love.
