Announcing a new Meetup for Greater Houston Skeptic Society!

What: Topics of the Paranormal - Jeff Wagg, James Randi Educational Foundation

Fun! Jeff Wagg, Communications and Outreach Manager of the James Randi Educational Foundation, will be speaking on why it is important to educate the public about paranormal claims, what work is being done to investigate and publicize these claims, and a discussion of the James Randi $1 Million Dollar Challenge. Jeff is a great speaker, and will have a slide presentation for us as well. This will be an informal talk, with time for questions and discussion.

The scheduled talk will start at 7:00 p.m., but the room will be available from 6:00 p.m. You are allowed to bring outside food and (non-alcoholic) drinks. Additionally, there is a coffee shop within the Library, Inversion Coffee that sells coffee and other drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and salads. We must vacate the room by 9 p.m, but the coffee shop is open until 10 for those wishing to linger.
