CODE OF CONDUCT

HOWARD COUNTY HOMESCHOOLING COMMUNITY MEETUP (HCHC)
STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

HCHC is dedicated to providing an ideal learning and social environment for our student body. We ask for your involvement in helping us maintain a bully-free zone. Speak with your children about appropriate social behavior. Join your child and their parent/teacher in a triad-partnership, and correct inappropriate behavior when necessary.

Students should abide by the Code of Conduct and learn to recite the 6 Principles.

Please review the Code with your child.

THE 6 PRINCIPLES
I, [insert child's name] pledge:

  • Treat others with kindness
  • Keep my hands to myself
  • Don't push, kick or bully others
  • Don't throw things.
  • Don't yell, scream or curse.
  • Take responsibility for my actions.

CODE OF CONDUCT

I will not force my beliefs on others,
I will respect my teachers and follow directions.
I will respect the property of others and not steal.

If behavioral issues occur, parent/teachers will seek parental support to correct the behavior. First instance is a conversation with the parents, second instance is a 30 day probationary period, and the third instance warrants termination from the group.

---------------------------------------------
Please agree to abide by the following Parental Code of Conduct.

I [state your name], agree:
1. To inform Board Members of any dangerous situations I observe.
2. To inform teachers of any special needs my child(ren) may have.
3. I am aware that when my child attends field trips and/or is not under my direct supervision, certain risks and dangers may be present, including but not limited to those associated with certain activities, the hazards of traveling the public highways, of accidents, of illness, and of those forces of nature. I agree to indemnify and defend HCHC and Rayna Remondini, and hold it and her harmless from and against any and all claims, suits, damages, liabilities and expenses, including attorney’s fees and the County’s costs of defense, in connection with loss of life, personal or bodily injury and /or damage to or loss of property that arises from the participation of my child in their program.

GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION

  • Disregarding HCHC Policies
  • Breaking the Code of Conduct
