The Hub City Software Development group is comprised of a group of engineers from all levels of experience and walks of life devoted to fostering a positive atmosphere for tech growth in the greater Hub City area. We are a collection of students, entrepreneurs, teachers, learners, investors, and business leaders. The intention of this group is to provide training, share insights, and push valuable technological innovations to the Hattiesburg area.
Our group meets every third Thursday of the month at 6:30PM. Our group has graciously partnered with Pharmedio, a local software startup, to provide our meeting location. Every month we will be exploring and evaluating a different web technology, framework, or piece of open source code that can be utilized to provide powerful growth to your own projects and businesses.
• Opening Remarks
• Technical presentation outlining a new functional web technology pertinent to startups
• Question & Answer Session
• Show and Tell
• Mingling + Networking
Show and Tell:
If you've developed an application that you are proud of, we encourage you to show it off during our Show and Tell sessions! S&T is a great way to find co-founders, gain traction, and curry investors for your project.
If you feel that our group could be a valuable resource, feel free to join our meetup and check us out! We are constantly looking to expand our group with talented, driven people.
But where's the code at? Show me the code!
At HCSD, we value open source contributions that provide value to the tech community as a whole. As such, all of our interactive development sessions are saved via our GitHub account. If you miss a meetup, don't fret! You can access the GitHub and download the contents of the entire session, including well commented and annotated code to help guide you through the material covered during the missed meetup.
