Kayaking Safety starts with a Seaworthy Vessel and Proper Gear, followed by
Thorough Trip Planning, Knowledge of Local Conditions &Practiced Skills
Class will include 1.5 hours indoor instruction, followed by 1.5 hours on-water
rescue demonstration/practice and stroke technique demonstration

Paddlers may attend only the indoor portion, or both parts of the class
Those participating in the on-water segment must have a seaworthy kayak, a CG approved lifevest, a whistle, navigation light and emergency signalling device
and must register boat make/model with the instructor in advance. (Sunset is at 8:30 pm)
