Monday, June 28, 6-9 pm Hosted by USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 75 Base at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, NY Taught by ACA Certified Coastal Kayak Instructor Michele Sorensen Registration fee $5 - payable at the door. Free Parking. Bring your Kayak and its Rain or Shine. Kayaking Safety starts with a Seaworthy Vessel and Proper Gear, followed by Thorough Trip Planning, Knowledge of Local Conditions &Practiced Skills Class will include 1.5 hours indoor instruction, followed by 1.5 hours on-water rescue demonstration/practice and stroke technique demonstration Please reserve by email to Michele Sorensen at [masked] Paddlers may attend only the indoor portion, or both parts of the class Those participating in the on-water segment must have a seaworthy kayak, a CG approved lifevest, a whistle, navigation light and emergency signalling device and must register boat make/model with the instructor in advance.
