Where was your favorite river trip?

I haven't paddled in NY yet, but my favorite place to go in Cincinnati was the Little Miami River. It may be easy and flat, but it was a lot of fun to take groups of friends for a day on the water.

What was the most amazing sight you have experienced while on the river?

Before I started kayaking, I was on a men's crew team in college. One of my best views on the water was sunrise over the Cincinnati skyline after a hard morning row. The city sits right on the Ohio river in a pretty steep valley, so the mix of man-made and natural features, coupled with an amazing painted sky, was always a great reward after the grueling practice sessions.

Share with us your first or most recent trip.

I haven't gone on a trip in far too long! The last one was late summer two years ago with my friends on the Little Miami. It was one of the last perfect days of the year, and we decided to take full advantage of it. We took the longest trip available at the livery, 8 miles, and spent the day paddling down the river, stopping for picnics and swimming. Very recreational, and very fun.

Hey! I just moved to NY from Ohio, and am hoping to "broaden my paddling horizons." I am still a relative newcomer to the sport (I can, at the least, keep my boat right-side-up), but am ready and eager to learn!
