I've not walked this trail yet, but my research suggests the Klara Sauer Trail in Beacon, NY will be a very nice trail for our group to start with. Here is a page that has pictures of it: http://www.traillink.com/trail-photos/klara-sauer-trail.aspx
This trail runs along the Hudson River and appears to be very scenic. It is a smooth, natural surface and is rated as an easy walk. From the starting point, it is one mile out to Demming Point Park which offers an additional mile loop of trail. We would walk to Demming Point Park and decide from there if we wanted to include the other mile loop. So, the total walk would be between 2 and 3 miles. I would expect at a leisurely pace and with stops to visit with passer-bys and a rest in the park, that the total time there would be approximately 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours.
Those who would like to lead a donkey need to attend at least one orientation session beforehand. If you cannot, you're very welcome to walk along. There are and will be both scheduled orientation sessions and I can hold impromptu ones for those who need to schedule with me more spontaneously.
Get off your ass and next to one of mine! :-) Hope to see you.
