Please join us for a 24-mile, guided bike ride on the Manhattan east side East Coast Greenway and bike paths through Brooklyn's Red Hook and Park Slope neighborhoods! The route will head South from the starting point down to the Manhattan Bridge, over the bridge to where we will pickup additional riders from Brooklyn, down Jay Street's bike path to Brooklyn Bridge Park's lovely new bike path, through Red Hook to the Erie Basin Peninsula. Then we will head east over the 9th Street Bridge to Prospect Park, loop around park, go past the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and return via the Williamsburg Bridge. Those returning to Manhattan will ride back across the bridge to Glick Park again.

We intend to make stops at several locations along the route including several photo ops and lunch at Prospect Park's Bluestone Cafe'. The ride will proceed at an easy-going pace of 9 - 12 MPH.

Please bring what you'll need such as water, a spare tube, and PLEASE wear a helmet. There are bike shops for emergencies along the way. We usually ride rain or shine but if the weather is particularly unpleasant, you will receive a cancellation email by 7:00AM on the day of the ride.

RIDE LEADERS:

Anthony Savarese, Jeff Behm, Scott Baker and other volunteers. For more information, contact me at [masked].
Please let me know if you will be starting from Brooklyn.
