YOU MUST ALREADY KNOW HOW TO KAYAK. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER TRIP AND THERE WILL NOT BE ANY KAYAK INSTRUCTION. (You will have to supply and transport your own SIT INSIDE KAYAK or borrow a kayak. We are not renting kayaks.) You may BACKPACK in from the highway and see if someone will let you use their kayak to visit the other hot springs along the water. (There is one hot spring within walking distance of our usual camping area.) I'm organizing and combining the Arizona and California groups for this adventure too.

$40.00 deposit to hold your spot - refundable ONLY AT CAMPSITE or event is cancelled! Mail payment to: Andrea Zelones, 8879 Keremeos Way, San Diego, CA 92126 or paypal at [masked]. You are not confirmed until I receive your deposit.

START/FINISH APPROX TIMES: The kayaking portion of the trip starts March 3rd at 7:00 a.m. and ends at Willow Beach on March 6th around 5:00 p.m. Most likely we will not be home until Sunday evening possibly very early a.m. Monday.

GETTING THERE: We will head to Boulder City, Nevada on Wednesday evening March 2 (approx. 5 hour drive) and camp just outside of Willow Beach or a hotel. DO NOT SLEEP IN YOUR CAR OR TENT AT WILLOW BEACH-THEY PATROL AND MAY TICKET YOU. I will be staying at the hotel/casino (approx $10/ea if you share a room). We will be on the water Thursday, March 3 at 7:00 a.m. (CALIFORNIA TIME) to kayak upstream to the Arizona Hot Springs Campground where we will setup camp.

Directions from Southern California:
Travel North on I-15 to Barstow, CA. Merge onto I-40 to Kingman, AZ. Take US-93 North and travel 56 miles. Turn left onto Willow Beach Road. Follow the signs and drive 4 miles down to the marina.

There is no fee for camping or for parking for this trip.

ITINERARY: Hike to the hot springs that are within a few minutes hike of our camping area and relax Thursday after setting up camp. On Friday, March 4th we'll get up and paddle out around 9:00 a.m. up to visit the Hoover dam, kayak back to the sauna cave, and hike, boulder hop, climb ropes, and wade through hot springs until we get to the hot springs where we'll relax again then kayak back to camp for dinner. On Saturday, March 5th, we'll determine what canyons we missed and hike & relax once again in the hot springs. On Sunday we'll pack up and visit more hot springs before heading back to our cars in Willow Beach. There are a great deal of trails to explore, places to kayak, peaks to climb, hot springs to soak in, etc...This schedule may change a bit.

Hotel for Thursday, March 2nd: Hacienda Hotel…48 hour notice = approx $10 per person (shared) NON-REFUNDABLE RATE
Address: Hacienda Hotel & Casino, Highway 93, Boulder City, NV
