The first, at 5pm, a representative from the national Secular Student Alliance (SSA) provided key details on the diversity among the rising non-believers, identified as NONES. Also speaking, Tucson student, Jessica, provided an inspiring talk on her experience organizing other students into a Secular Student group and doing so in her freshman college year @ U of A. She’ll be entering her sophomore year in September. The second meeting, at 7pm, engaged us all in a radio taping of the AskAnAtheist radio broadcast with host Sam and Rebecca, (his wife). Richard Dewey provided his articulate voice for the HSGP during the radio broadcast as he was interviewed by Sam and Rebecca.
Later, questions by we the audience were invited, and we did respond.

Audience applause showed their appreciation during the interludes of the taping. And they did enjoy the yummy snacks prior to the meeting. :)

Thanks for the memorable evening and to the organizers. Great Job!

Hi All. Just a reminder that being a member of the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix (HSGP) Meetup Group does not mean that you are an official "card carrying" member of HSGP. Official membership requires the paying of annual dues. This entitles you to borrow books and DVDs from our Robert G. Ingersoll Library, the right to vote for board members once a year; and provides you with the satisfaction that you're helping to support one of the largest nontheistic communities in Arizona.
