Storage Room Work Party!
Come early, beat the heat, drink some coffee and socialize, accomplish something, and have fun doing it!
Please join us for a Work Party at the Humanist Community Center (HCC), even if you cannot help out for the entire event.
Please bring common hand tools, gloves, and a circular saw if you have one. Please park away from the old building in the back, because we'll need open area in which to work.
Tasks that we hope to complete:
Putting the newly-painted Store Room to use. Our Store Room items are stored in a jumble in the north half of the old building. We will be taking everything out, sorting and organizing it on the parking lot, discarding detritus, and thoughtfully placing our stuff in the Store Room (the south half of the old building) in an organized manner.
Prep work for a bike rack. We will do the earthwork and the form work for the pouring of a concrete pad at a later date.
Touch-up painting of repaired drywall areas. Drywall in the Foyer and in the Kitchen has been repaired. We will repaint the repaired areas.
We will also be doing whatever other useful work we can, such as installing hooks and upgraded mirrors in the bathrooms.
Work Parties are always fun. Come on out and help your fellow Humanists to improve our home. We don't actually work that hard, and attendees get a feeling of satisfaction because of the improvements.
See you there!
