From March 11th to March 15th, Angel Garcia, an Arizona State University alumnus and former president of the Secular Student Alliance Chapter at ASU, along with other secular students from around the country, did humanitarian work in a small Puerto Rican town named Yabucoa to repair homes that were damaged by 2017 Hurricanes Irma and Maria. After these hurricanes struck the island and caused catastrophic damage, disaster relief efforts failed to complete repairs, and they remain unfinished two years later.

This presentation and Q&A will feature Angel Garcia, who will speak about his experience there, the people, the students, other volunteers, the base camp, the repair work, and the affected population.

Some snacks will be provided. BYOB if desired.

This event is free and open to the public.
