Blue Mesa Grill Happy Hour

Okay, it looks like low-priced drinks and free quesadillas (or you can order something else) in the Blue Mesa Grill cantina. Since this is a smaller group, I have not arranged a table. Instead, we can just meet each other in the cantina for an informal evening.

Seating in the past at long tables has had a way of restricting conversation, and we seem to have a smaller group this time, so I think it would be good to check it out.

Hey, I showed up but it was really crowded and I had no idea where you guys were.

Our apologies, Rich. When I saw how crowded it was, I was worried that was going to happen. Next time, we'll reserve a table or figure out some other way for us to identify each other.

thanks that sounds good. Hope to meet you all next time.

Unfortunately there was more than one way in the bar, where we said we would meet. Some people came in from a different side than I could see or went into the restaurant I think. Also, I think most people expressed a desire for tables after all, so the next time, we will have tables instead. If I give them enough RSVP time, I think Blue Mesa would seat us. They just need to know ahead two or three days.

Yes. I am sorry for the confusion.

Apologies to all new members who showed up and couldn't find any of our group. It was more crowded than I anticipated.

Audra, an RSVP usually isn't required to attend an event. The only exceptions are events which require a payment in advance, and those are rare.

I wish I could participate - I'm tied up with a houseguest through the rest of July.

Joe T's is at the bottom of my list of eating places. I know Esperanza's is owned by the same corporation, but the food is superior to Joe T's, and the margaritas at Esperanza's are made with tequila, not Everclear. Tommy's Burgers, either location, could accommodate us. El Fenix on Camp Bowie Blvd. is a possibility.

So Audrey, do you like Pappasita's? We recently went to Chadra's a couple of times, and some people were tired of it I think.

      July 11, 2014

    • Sam

El Fenix says it has won "Best Margarita in Dallas" three years in a row, and they are running a special on it now for $3.50. Thanks for the suggestion, John.

Blue Mesa has a happy hour from Mon-Fri 4pm-7:30pm:
$4 margaritas, glasses of house wine, mojitos, glasses of sangria, well drinks; $2.25 draft beers
and complimentary quesadilla bar til 6:30pm.

Does Pappasito's have a happy hour?

    July 12, 2014

    • Wanda F.

No. Certainly not like this. Would people prefer a happy hour arrangement to a full dinner? We are looking for something a bit more cost-effective for everyone.

If so, I recommend, we start earlier than 6:30 p.m. It's always 5 o'clock somewhere.

We can still change the venue if people have a suggestion. I just didn't get any notifications, so I picked something. You can e-mail me at [masked] if you have a better idea.

      Pappasito's is fine with me.

      July 12, 2014

Sure, I'll go wherever except anything connected to J Ts. I'd like to be clear, if the group wants to go to TJs or Ezperanza's then the group.should go there.

    July 11, 2014

  • Libba

Well, we cannot go this time after all. Hope to see ya'll next month.

Eidelweiss, Pappas Burgers or Papasitas or Pappadeaux. Joe T Garcias - I have no idea how groups are accommodated, but Tuesday s/b a lot less crowded than Saturday.
