Humanists of Rhode Island Picnic and Potluck at Lincoln Woods

Join us for a potluck picnic in beautiful Lincoln Woods. We'll need people to bring drinks, salads, paper goods, desserts or meat/vegetarian foods. Let's start messaging each other with what we'd like to bring. I'm opening this up to as many people as you want to bring along. Invite family and friends along. Also, I'm going to extend an invitation to the Greater Worcester and Boston Humanist groups, as well as to the RI Atheists and any other like minded groups out there. Let's grow our community even as we celebrate it.

Wed have lots of time to work on this, so let' make it as big and as exciting as we can.

Here's a rundown of the food situation so far:

Derek and Beth: are bringing chicken wings and bulgar wheat salad.

Tangie and Adam: will be bringing spinach rolls (they have bacon in them), lemon squares, charcoal for the grill, MANY gallons of bottled water, and ice.

Sarah can bring homemade potato salad and some diet soda.

Stacee was going to bring brownies and cookies, but now she isn't coming. (I think)

Lou told me what she was bringing (twice!) but like an idiot I forgot.

We will be bringing spinach rolls (they have bacon in them), lemon squares, charcoal for the grill, MANY gallons of bottled water, and ice. I would also like to be green and suggest that people bring their own dishes, cups, and utensils. If that's going too far, I understand, but I plan on doing that for my family. People can bring whatever they'd like to be cooked on the grill.

I'm going to contact the Greater Worcester Humanists and the RI Atheists and invite them to our picnic. In the meantime, Derek and Beth, who have organized this get together, have paid the $75 for the site, so we need to remember to help reimburse them when next we see them. They are bringing chicken wings and bulgar wheat salad.
