• Robot Maker Faire

    Start it @K&H inkubátor

Our usual monthly robot builder meetup. We will have plenty of robots that make music, dance, draw, recognize items, or just roll around. We have a robot hand which plays rock-paper-scissors, and some unusual sensors, for example lidars and an OptoForce force sensing rubber bell. Everything can be touched and tried, most of them can be controlled. The creators of the robots will also be around, so you'll get a chance to ask questions and see how each robot works. We'll also have some interactive games, like building robots in the air with your hands, or the concentration meter which measures your brain activity while you're doing math exercises. We have surprise appearances from further robots, for example a giant metal spider, or a 120 cm tall humanoid robot which can speak and understand spoken language. You are also welcome to bring your own creations. Don't worry if they are not perfect, or not ready yet! Just bring what you have, show it to everyone, and you can get help to finish it if you want. The event is hosted by the Hungarian Robot Builders' Association (http://www.hungarianrobot.hu). There is no entrance fee.

  • Beach Bots

    Hotel Griff

Before everyone hits the beach, we'll have a summertime beach bot meetup! You'll meet robots that roll, dance, play music, draw, and of course you'll have the chance to drive them. Also we'll have some games, like building robots in the air with your hands, or measuring your concentration abilities at Friday evening. You can bring your own projects, and talk to the creators of all other robots, to get help or ideas. No entrance fee!

  • Robot projects for summer

    Hotel Griff

Summer is coming, and usually it means preparation for autumn's event season. Given that many people are on vacation when the July meetup happens, and there is no meetup in August, this is the last time when we can effectively plan new robots for September. We have a phone controlled drawing/moving robot on mind, some sumo-playing ones, a robot which draws on a whiteboard, and some more. Therefore this meetup is specifically recommended for people who plan some robot building during summer - either your own project, or if you want to join an existing project, or if you recently joined the Association and are not familiar with the running projects. But, of course, we will still have the usual set of robots which draw, dance, make music, plus the kids' fun, like robot building game and mind-reading game too. Also, rock-paper-scissors with the robot hand, and many driveable and controllable small, medium, and big robots. Location is not decided yet, very likely it'll be Griff Hotel, but surprises might happen! :)

  • Meet the new board

    Hotel Griff

Robot maker faire is moving! We are now hosting the meetup in Hotel Griff. You can meet our dancing, rolling, music playing, drawing, beeping, blinking, fun robots at Friday night. Also the Association will have its usual yearly gathering just before, so you'll get a chance to meet the new board. Some changes are expected, nothing fundamental though. If you are interested in robots and robotics, and want to partake in building some, there is no better chance than to come, and meet the people who can help. You can bring your own project, or join an existing one.
