This group is for 30-something-ish women in the city who can relate to the following:
Your friends are irreplaceable but lifestyles and priorities have changed since they all abandoned you for tiny humans and sold out to the suburbs.
You've spent the last waytoomany years chasing your career and blew off too many birthday parties for deadlines, and you've fallen out of touch with your peripheral group as a result.
Maybe you've moved to the city and haven't found your bearings yet, maybe your job doesn't come with a built-in social life, maybe your ex got custody of all your friends in the breakup. We've all been there.
Every once in a while you get the motivation to browse through this joint but you aren't really a "joiner" and let's be honest, you would rather day drink alone than go hiking (shudder), all the 1500-member "social groups" seem a little too eager (no offense to social groups, it's just our insecurity talking!!) and activities geared towards spiritual development might uncover what a hot mess you are. So you join 4 safety-net professional groups whose meetings you will never attend, and log out for the next 6 months.
I know there must be so many women in the city just like me, so let's suck it up and see how this pans out. I'm not really one to start a group (I've never even attended one) and I'm not the best planner (help me!) But what I do have is solid proof of concept. I created this exact group on behalf of a friend who moved across the country and she met her best friends. Like, she's literally vacationing with them right now, while we are watching Netflix.
