Shall we go it alone, or in partnership with the local group of another association with common interests and members such as IABC (https://iabcemena.com/uk/), IIBA (https://www.iibauk.org/), CMI (https://www.change-management-institute.com/united-kingdom), IMEX (http://www.imexexhibitions.com/), ABPCO (http://www.abpco.org/)... ?

IAF Netherlands have been running a one-day annual conference successfully for years, this year with an optional extra half-day as well 'for fans' - see http://www.iaf-conferentie.nl/82247/ I dare say there are plenty of other models we could draw on for inspiration...

We have a meeting room booked with space for 50 cabaret style or 100 theatre style, that can be divided into two for break-out sessions. Depending on how many registrations we get we could book additional break-out rooms as well.

IAF E&W has agreed to underwrite the venue costs to allow only a token fee to be charged to attendees to enable us to know better who and how many to expect, say £10 each. To keep it simple we could bring our own lunches or go out to lunch in small groups at the many eateries nearby.
