Dinner for a Cause: Four-Legged Food Drive

Local non-profit choice for our second Dinner for a Cause is Corridor Rescue. We will meet at Ninfa's near the corner of Richmond and Kirby for their delicious food happy hour that ends at 7 pm.

About Corridor Rescue Inc.:

Corridor Rescue is a non profit organization on a mission. A mission of mercy, rescue and awareness. A mission to save lives and correct an injustice to animals who have been thrown away and left, often times injured and starving, to fend for themselves in the I/59 and York area of Houston. An area dubbed the "corridor of cruelty". We're not talking about a handful of animals, but hundreds of physically and emotionally damaged animals in the fight of their lives to simply survive another day.

Started by one person, Corridor Rescue has grown its team of volunteers, from all walks of life, united in an effort to help this community of orphaned animals in desperate need of help. Corridor Rescue also just recently partnered with Pets for Patriots.

Click here to visit their website to learn more.

Click here to see a youtube video of an amazing success story of one of their rescues, Fiesta Freddie. Please be aware that the before pictures of this rescue are graphic, but the after pictures are beautiful. Sadly, the state he was found is quite common for the animals they rescue for this area. This area is also a very common area for dumping of animals from dog fights, many times they have been known to come upon sites with 5-10 trashbags.

Won't be able to attend but please let me know where I can make a donation or drop off a donation or supplies. Thanks. :)
