Everyone - see you soon! Just to recap Q&As that have been posted so far - contestants for this event may prep before arriving to be efficient, but please finish the dish at Susie's. Bring whatever utensils you will need/pans, etc. You may arrive as early as 1pm, serving at 3pm. Between our group (IE Foodies) and Carmen's group (The Inland Empire Singles/TIES) there will be about 40 people. Attendees who are not cooking are invited to bring drinks, appetizers, salads and dessert to share. Bring a chair or two if you can.

I have sent the address to all YES rsvps. If you have not rec'd this information from me, please check your SPAM folder. If you cannot locate that email, please let me know. Thanks. See you soon!

Cliff this is part of a msg Susie had sent to one of the other guys "I have a small BBQ that I've used only once. You're welcome to it. I believe the dish should be prepared at the location, but to save time, or if you'd like to prep ahead of time you're welcome to do so." I don't know how long it will take to prepare your dish but anyone cooking is welcome to come as early as 1 p.m. to prepare but needs to be ready to serve at 3 p.m. I know one of the guys is preparing at home and then baking in Susie's oven. I hope this comment helps. For further questions you might have, I'm sure Susie will address once she's home from work.

I see we have 3 men signed up to cook so far. How many does
TIES have ? and how many servings should we plan on making?
I was thinking of making a baked pasta dish.

    April 8, 2013

    • Dale M

Hi Leo - from TIES there are 4 guys. There are additional RSVPs from ladies with "+1" so I don't know if those are men who are in or not. Total attendance on TIES so far is 20. Foodies has 14. Plan on a "taste" for all attendees. All together, there will be plenty of food.

We have one session making samosas at Sharada's place on 4/20/13. I will be helping sharada. If i am not too tired I would love to attend "men in the kitchen" and learn how men operate. If I cannot make this time I'll try next time!

    April 4, 2013

  • William

Haha OK thanks Susie... I guess I'll go with the Garlic Spaghetti & sausage as Kabobs are better FOTG (fresh off the grill)... Looking forward to all the harsh critics ;j

    April 2, 2013

  • William

2 questions: 1. Will the dish (Seafood Shish Kabobs with rice pilaf or lower end Garlic Spaghetti with Andouille Sausage) be prepared at the location or beforehand? 2) Is there a grill present?

    March 21, 2013

  • Carmen

Ladies, and non-participating men, please bring drinks and $3.- to buy the price for our winner. We'll have a great time relaxing while our fabulous male friends cook! :) This is my 6th event with TIES, and we have always enjoyed each and every one of them! :)

    February 21, 2013

  • Carmen

We need to know who is participating as soon as possible. We know men are wonderful cooks, so don't be shy, if you are a man who wants to cook for this event, please let us know what dish you are preparing. We need just enough for everyone to "sample" your food. There will be a price to our new Men In The Kitchen winner. See you there :)
