My original flight was cancelled after we boarded. I got in at 9pm via a second adventure. The stress messed up my sleep so I got 2 hours and am up. Hit me in the head if I fall asleep in a workshop.

I know this is last minute, but Las Vegas has some cheap hostels, ranging from $10 to $40 a night.

Here’s a way for all TAMS attendees from IE / OC / Atheist / Skeptics to find each other. I created a webmail account we can use the contact list to voluntarily add our names for contact.

    1. Go to Hotmail.com and sign in as [masked]
    2. Use password: FSMmyGod
    3. Login
    4. Go to the top left drop down arrow (might be next to “Outlook”) and select People.
    5. Click “NEW”
    6. Add your contact info and select Save.
    7. Your name will be added to the list.
    8. Log out when done so others can get in to add and look up.

Of those of you attending the meeting, how many are staying at the Southpoint hotel?

I believe the basic registration fee is $475. That includes the general meeting with the list of speakers, and also includes the opening welcome party. It also includes breakfast and lunch for most days. There are add-on options for evening shows and for special workshops. It is all explained on their web site.

    What is the amazing meeting?

    March 15, 2013

    • Les

One of the biggest get-togethers of skeptics. It is sponsored by the James Randi Educational Foundation. He is famous for debunking frauds such as Uri Geller and other psychics/paranormals. As a magician Randi was called the Amazing Randi and was an escape artist on prime time TV such as the Johnny Carson show. The Amazing Meeting has leading scientists and authors and evening shows. Look at their link above for details on this years speakers and events.
