How to find us

We're in the community room on the library campus but not inside the library proper. You can recognize us because we look like atheists.

FIRST UP: We'll have a couple of FIVE MINUTE SPEECHES from attending members on absolutely any subject whatsoever! Come ready to offer up some pearls of your wisdom on whatever subject you like. We've even had a short singing/spoons performance. We'll have a stopwatch working so they are ONLY five minutes. The speaker can take questions after or not. Don't be shy. These are really fun and memorable. Some examples we've heard:
1. Memory Tricks that work.
2. How to hire a pet sitter.
3. Why cursive should still be taught in schools.
4. The importance of attachment in a family.
5. How important are grandparents?
6. How to recognize a gifted child.
7. Living on minimum wage.
8. Vegan vs. vegetarian
9. Sunshine vs sunscreen.
10. Mindfulness vs meditation.
11. Historical lies
12. The best age to get married.
13. Why you didn't marry the right person.

NOTE: Let me know if you plan to give a Five Minute Speech!

NEXT UP: Our own Eric Ozols continues his series discussing how to converse with our religious friends/family; this installment will feature techniques for controlling a conversation, a look at the ontological argument, and the concept of "worldview". A more broad survey of ideas than the model of previous sessions is planned since the foundations of how to scrutinize and recognize apologetic fallacies have been illustrated.

Now, this is better than good. You won't find a more stimulating speaker anywhere in SoCal and Eric is right here, locally and a member of our local communities. Don't miss this, plan ahead, especially if you know Eric.

Stay for an early dinner afterward with the group at Sizzler, only 7 minutes from the library.
