Description:

Today, knowledge workers help shape the world around them by helping their coworkers, clients, and customers live easier work and personal lives. Mastering Services in the Service of Others is about creating the right culture of work where individuals are working not only for their companies, and clients, but also improving themselves.

Rahul will cover how his company sets balanced goals for iterative and continuous improvement of their team. Their goal is to master services. Each person on his team sets company, customer, and mastery goals every week to a) improve themselves, so b) they can improve the company, so c) the company can serve more people. The team didn't start out like this. First it was Rahul, then his leadership team, and then finally the rest of the team.

There were many skeptics both external and internal to the team, but it has paid off dividends because of the research and development that the company has invested in. Team members learning new things has helped create new products which have then in turn landed new projects. The goal of this talk is about how to integration professional and personal development with that of corporate development.

Speaker:

Rahul Singh, CEO Anant

Rahul Singh is a technology minded business person and a business minded technologist. As CEO of a company devoted to solving the most difficult problems in streamlining, organizing, and unifying business information, he is responsible for training the team, overseeing and creating technology with the research and development team, and fostering client and service partner relationships.

Although he’s programmed in over 30 computer languages and has worked with numerous platforms, frameworks, and libraries across all major internet software systems, he likes to spend his time sharpening his skills in information retrieval (search), knowledge management, business information systems, and machine learning to come up with ideas for a smarter, more modern enterprise.
