Elin Haf Davies, PhD @elinhafdavies

Elin has combined her career in paediatric health and her passion for sport and extreme adventure. She began her career as a Paediatric Nurse at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London. Elin then spent 6 years in research managing clinical and academic drug trials. Elin then moved to the European Medicine Agency Paediatric Team where, amongst other projects she evaluated over a 100 Paediatric Investigation Plans of drug trials in children. In 2014 Elin founded Aparito. Aparito uses wearables and disease specific mobile apps to deliver patient monitoring outside of the hospital. Elin’s adventures over the years have raised over £250,000 for charities, and was selected to carry the 2012 Olympic Torch.

Hugh Halford-Thompson, Blockchain Tech (BTL) Ltd

Blockchain's technology is developed in-house and through BTL's incubator and accelerator programs, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. BTL's first technology platform is a remittance business called Interbit with a focus on leveraging blockchain technology to create rapid and cost effective "cash-in cash-out" settlement solutions between the UK and target countries. In 2013, Hugh CoFounded enabling UK customers to buy bitcoin quickly and easily and established trust across a difficult industry. Working with his brother Guy the duo started with just £1000 and turned over £1.4mil in their first full year.

Dr Keith Grimes MB ChB MRCGP (Edin 2001) BSc PGDip @vr_doctors /

A UK-based GP, with a special interest in Urgent & Unscheduled Care, Musculoskeletal medicine, and Sports medicine. Also the founder of VR Doctors! Keith's abiding passions are Digital Health, Innovation and Technology. Keith has been involved in the creation and delivery of innovative clinical services such as the award nominated Roving GP service in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. More recently he's been privileged to work with the Digital Health and Care Institute, NHS Fife, and Glasgow Caledonian University on the award winning MyLittleOne (MLO), a neonatal intensive care camera/tablet system. Keith is a strong believer in the ability of IM&T to not only support and augment the delivery of Healthcare in its current form, but also in the need to radically review existing structures and perceptions of how care can be delivered Globally.
